About

Bear Mountain Group is a collective of talented people: interactive designers, coders, musicians, filmmakers, sound editors, and graphic artists collaborating and forming task-oriented teams to accomplish projects in both new and traditional media.

The Group was founded by John Prusinski, former CEO of S2N Media, Inc., a company he helped bring to prominence in the early days of the Web.  S2N Media provided a new model for interactive production, earning a stellar reputation building some of the first rich media websites for museums and academic institutions, including the Smithsonian, the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academies of Science, and the National Science Foundation.  John’s expertise helped the company win several Webby Awards, the highest honor for website production, and expanded their portfolio to include not only online work but also 3D animation for film and museum installations, and 2D animation and interactive productions for educational software, such as a series of award-winning applications for Hooked on Phonics and Sylvan Learning.

The team draws on the skills of the highly accomplished members of the Group:

T.W. Timreck is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, known for his biographies of Thomas Eakins, the sculptor Augustus St. Gaudens, Frederick Law Olmsted (designer of Central Park in NYC), and the composer Charles Ives, among many others, including a series of contemporary interviews for the Kennedy Center.  Ted’s films have been featured on PBS and other networks around the globe.  In addition to his work in biographical films, Ted is known for his anthropological documentaries on prehistoric civilizations in North America, including the widely-viewed “The Mystery of the Lost Red Paint People”, a special on the Viking explorations to North America produced for NOVA, and the current series “Hidden Landscapes”.  Ted is a Research Fellow of the Arctic Studies Center of the Smithsonian Institution.

Philippe Desloovere has had a storied career in sound for films and television, as a sound editor, sound effects supervisor, sound designer, and music editor.  Nominated for several Emmy awards for his work, the list of high profile productions in which he played a part are too numerous to list here, but include “30 Rock”, “Damages”, “Pee-wee’s Playhouse”, “Beavis & Butt-head”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, the HBO series “Oz”, and NBC’s “Kings”, among many others.  His prestigious clients have included Michael Apted (“The Power of the Game”, “Inspirations”), Arthur Penn (“Inside”), Steven King (“The Stand”, “The Langoliers”,  ”The Night Flier”), Abel Ferrara (“‘R Xmas”, “New Rose Hotel”), and Barry Levinson (“Homicide – Life on the Street”).

Judy Eddy is a professional writer with many years of experience in public relations, communications and fundraising working for non-profit organizations as well as for private businesses and corporations.
